DTGD: Phase Nine

I still haven't finished the last two Dare to Get Dirty challenges, but here are some others from last week I haven't posted yet.
This is another adorable Pink Cat Studio image. I colored it with copics (Y08 for the chicks, R20 for the icing, and R24 for the cupcake paper), then added some Fruit Punch stickles to the sprinkles. I used my biggest nestie scallop circle to make the card base, making sure not to cut all the way through the fold. Then I cut another scallop circle from some Core'dinations pink paper and cut out a circle window using the nestie circle die. I added some red stickles onto each scallop.
Karen reminded me how cute this owl is from PTI Tiny Treats: Valentines (although shouldn't the sentiment be "guess woo loves you" in order for it to be punny?). I stamped the owl on red PTI bitty dot paper, used a white gel pen for the eyes, and cut out. On the Always Artichoke base, I'm really wishing I would have written down what color I used because I tried about 5 different greens before using this one. Maybe it's Ripe Avocado diamonds with Versamark dotted lines? ETA: mystery solved it was Memento Pear Tart for both the diamonds & lines! Whoduthunk? Not me! Anyway, I know I stamped the Wplus9 woodgrain using versamark onto Dark Chocolate paper and I think I need to suck it up and spend the $4 on some new clear embossing powder because these white specs are killing me. I used a circle punch to punch out a circle (hence the name "circle punch") and rotated it a bit before adhering to the base. Then I foam mounted the strip on top to make it look like Mr Owl was in his hidey-hole. I stamped the sentiment and punched it out using the Modern Label punch and then I made my own brads from a spare piece of embossed woodgrain paper.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by today. I hope y'all are having a great weekend--mine's about to get a lot better with some Chang's Crispy Honey Chicken and Great Wall of Chocolate! Woohoo!!

Love your cards! What color copic did you use for the chickies??

I love the woodgrain piece you created with the curvy edges, especially with the cool punch out! And thanks for the shout out :)

Both cards are very nifty. I especially love the "hidey hole" technique! That owl is indeed adorable. Between you and Emily, I think I'm gonna have to pull that set out again soon.
Oh, and if you get more clear ep, you could always use the old for embossing on white... ;)

Heehee, both are so cute, Meg! I have the same question as Karen... what colour Copic did you use for the chickies? Now I also have a massive craving for a cupcake! :O

I agree with Angela, the rotated hidey-hole is an awesome idea! I love how you used the argyle and you'll have to find out what colour you used 'cause I love it. I think my argyle set is feeling very neglected right now! ;)

Oh, and if you're charging your next PTI order to me, Angela and Karen, then I'll just charge mine back to you and we'll call it even. :Þ The big question is, are you going to wait for the August release??
