DTGD: Phase Five

I haven't gotten any more challenges done; last night we went to see John Hiatt in concert-he was very good but boy was it hot out!  Today we are going to the Ann Taylor outlet to get some new school clothes for me.  I love the Ann outlet, about 78% of my clothes come from there, mostly because their clothes fit me well, and that's hard to find for me.   What are your favorite clothes stores (preferably with petite lines-I'm only 5'1'')?

Anyway, enough about clothes, what about cards? Here is another card I made last week for Dare to Get Dirty.
This is also for The Cat's Pajamas Tuesday challenge.  I picked up a K&Co paper pad for $4 at Michael's the other day; it's full of fun summer paper, including all the ones I used here.  I even cut the fishies out of the paper and put some Glossy Accents on them.  I cut surfin' Poochie out and paper pieced his surfboard.  The waves I made from using a scallop nestability, inking the edges with white ink.  I stamped the Kowabunga with versamark and embossed with blue American Craft powder, and added a gentle curve.  Added some Kiwi Kiss ribbon and some orange & blue stickles and tada-I think it's the perfect card for my nephew's birthday next month!

Well, Ann is calling my name so I best be getting ready.  Thanks for stopping by!

Meg, this is adorable!! I LOVE the bright summer colors you used, and surfin' Poochie looks awesome hangin' ten, dude. Everything coordinates SO well. You sure scored a deal with that $4 K&Co pad! I love finding crafty bargains :) Have fun clothes shopping. When do you go back to school?

What a cute and colorful boy card! I'm sure he'll dig it.
Have fun with Ann :) My fave used to be Martin&Osa, but they just closed the whole chain down - boo! I also prefer Loft to the reg. Ann Taylor - that whole college-teaching thing means I can be a bit more casual (thank goodness!). Let us know what you scored!

Ok, I knew there was more than one reason why we got along so well! I'm 5'2" and wish we had Ann Taylor Loft stores/outlets here in Canada! I used to shop there when I lived in the States. Right now my favourites are JCrew petites, Banana Republic petites and Club Monaco which doesn't have a petites line but they make fabulous clothes small enough for me.

Your card is so colourful, fun and fabulous! I love the underwater scene you created with the surfing dog up top and the fishes underneath. I'm blown away by the way you created the water/waves with a scallop punch and distressed them to look foamy. I must try that. It's totally adorable!

You have good taste in clothes Meg.
This card is adorable. I love how you sponged your scallops and layered them. That is a great look. I am back up to ice cream level now. Thank you.

Hey Meg - just to let you know about my hubby's fish - this is the first time he cooked sea bass. First he sauteed it in a cast iron skillet and then he finished it in the oven. That's about all I 'saw' while I was walking in and out of the kitchen!!
:)
