Thank you!

Yippee!  Banner dies for Christmas!  Stamped using The Cat's Pajamas Coolvetica alphabet onto Echo Park Paper.  These banners end up being a bit big--this is an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 card.  I also wish I could have figured out how to make the "you" string sag down instead of going straight across, but when I loosened the string it didn't work well.  Any ideas?  The birdie stamp is from a set I picked up for $1 at Big Lots.

So consider this my big thank you to all my stamping peeps who sent me wonderful handmade cards for Christmas:
Holy guacamole!  Can you believe all the awesomeness Meredith (aka Crafty Math Chick) fit onto this card?  The ribbon wrapped presents, the funny sentiments, and then to top it all off with that fabulously colored Eat Cake Graphics image?!?!  Plus she tucked in some new stamps and a couple Nylabones for Addison, which she certainly appreciated!

This fabulous CAS card came from Lindsey (of Bashful Blogging)  It's hard to see in the picture, but there is some wonderfully festive glitter accents going on.  I'm going to also assume she gave Addie and myself red stockings, and added the green one for DH.

Kraft?  Check.  Stamped background? Check.  Touch of sparkle?  Check.  Snippet of twine? Check.  Great layout? Check!  Yup, looks like Angela (of Paper Cupboard) made sure all of the appropriate Christmas card boxes were checked off with this wonderfully cozy card.

Thanks again, gals!

PS--notice anything about these pictures?  We gave ourselves a new camera (a Panasonic G1) and I'm in love with it!  I'll have some botanical garden pictures to share later in the week.

My, what nice friends you have!! I love your banner stamp - tres cool! Not too big at all. I may have just ended up gluing the bottom banner where I wanted- although this probably defeats the object of a teeny tiny banner!

Lovely photos! Looks like the camera was worth it :)
And I'm glad you got a shot of my card...because I totally didn't!

And yay for the banner dies! Now we can both banner it up -- and yeah, getting the string part right can be tricky. Glue works, but it isn't as flappy that way, kwim? Love the colors you used, too.

Great banner card!!! Maybe to get the YOU to sag, you could glue the Y O U in the sag you want then let the twine hang a bit? not sure if that's clear!!

What fun cards you recieved too!! Nice work ladies!!
PS: The book is in the mail :)

Awwww! I am honored you posted my card on your blog and happy that you like the goodies. Congrats on your new camera too! (How come I never find cute birdie stamps like that at our Big Lots? LOL!) I do hope you hubby and Addi have a very happy and healthy new year my friend!

PS _ your banner card is very pretty, takes a lot of patience to make that and it looks great.

What up, Meg?!
Your cards are fab, but I am gaga over that banner card! LOVE IT!
Congrats on the new camera. I have a new one from last Christmas, but one of my twins broke the CD-rom drive on my computer, so I never use it for my cards since I can't download the ding dang software to my computer!!!!
An excuse for a new computer? probably NOT! :)

Hugs!

Hi Meg, I just had to come and say thank you to you (how cool that your latest blog post has that title :) My computer crashed and my software disks are stuck in the moving process. I needed to edit a photo and I remembered you liked Picnik. It was so easy and did exactly what I needed. Thanks!
