Here Comes the Sun

Ah, Spring! Here comes the sun, along with:
COMMUNITY on Thursday
SPRING BREAK on Friday
TEMPS IN THE 80s this week.

Not only that, but I actually spent part of last weekend MAKING A CARD.

And I say
It's all right.

I have not made a real honest-to-goodness card for about 2 months (I had some occasions where a card was required, but I just sort of limped along and/or CASEd myself).  And then I was tasked with making a baby card for a coworker whose nursery theme is owls.

This was a Silhouette file; don't you love the (Amuse) gingham bellies?  I'm sure you do, but you're also wondering how this is a baby card?  Oh, just you wait....
Oh, yeah, that card just pulled out to reveal a baby owl.  That just happened.  I used the same idea as my "I love you this much" card (I actually had to use my own tutorial to refresh my memory on it, so I'm glad I made it, if only for myself to use).

Thanks to everyone that dropped in to say 'ello during my blogging break (I wish I had a better excuse other than lack of mojo)--I hope to get back to commenting during Spring Break, and maybe even make another card or two!

Really? You're geeky enough to still pay attention to Ken Jennings, too? :D
On to the card, which shows no cobwebs, or rust, or whatever might be expected following a two-month break. In fact -- total awesome cuteness! Especially the way they all hold hands, er, wings.

How cute!!! I do love their gingham bellies and I think it's hilarious that you had to use your own tutorial. :P Sorry you lost your mojo for so dang long, Meg, but I'm glad you're back with a bang... er, pull-out! LOL

Hooray for spring break :) We're on March Break, always called such because dang it, spring is NOT here yet...freezing rain & ice pellets happening here right now. Ugh!
Such a super cute card - and it sucks so bad that your mojo was on vacation. Can't wait to hear what you've been reading!

It was so lovely to have a post from you pop up in my reader.

First, can I just say that I KNOW we had tornadoes here on Thursday, yet I still found it inexcusable that news coverage went on RIGHT THROUGH COMMUNITY!!!
Gonna have to catch up on Hulu, I guess.

ANYway, that card? So adorable!! The gingham-y owls, the BABY gingham-y owl, the interactive element...even the Ken Jennings reference...good to have you back, Meg!

Hi Meg! Welcome back. I have missed your fabulous designs. I love how your card pulls out to reveal the baby owl. You are so darn clever.
Sometimes taking a break is a good thing (not for us, though)!

HUGS!

Ack! That is the cutest and cleverest baby card! I love how you made the fold to cover the baby. Awesome card, Meg! Don't worry about taking a blogging break! I thought of you today when I saw the (former) baby Corgi...he's gotten much bigger, but he still has that puppy-like spring in his step. So cute!
